Damage types can be divided into three categories: Melee, Ranged, and Magic, and have respective weapons to deal such damages out with as well as armors that provide bonuses to those types of damage. The player has access to creating weapons and armor types that can use these damage varieties, but some Creatures may also be able to utilize specific damage types against the player as well!

Melee[ | ]

Melee damage is close ranged combat that utilizes weapons like swords, spears, and battleaxes. Melee damage hits hard but leaves players vulnerable to the attacks of hostile mobs when they approach as well as when they attack. Most armor in the game provides resistance to all forms of damage.

Ranged[ | ]

Ranged damage is true to its namesake, the use of bows and blowpipes can keep hostile creatures at bay, but require ammunition to use. There are tons of arrow types in the game, and some types have special properties like poisoning or setting creatures on fire. Ammunition is easy to craft and sometimes missed shots may be collected to be reused, although that is fairly uncommon.

There are a few armor and accessory types that boost ranged damage.

Magic[ | ]

Magic damage is a variant of ranged damage that draws from the player's mana pool to utilize. If the player runs out of mana, then they can't use their magic weapons until it is restored. Most weapons and armor crafted to boost magical abilities are made from Gems. More interesting magical weapons may be found underground in loot chests. Mana is restored through the consumption of Mana Potions, or by simply waiting, it will restore on its own in time.

There are also a good deal of accessories that can affect magic damage, as well as mana regeneration rates.
